ZEP QUIZ: A Simpler, Smarter Way to Create Interactive Quizzes

Many teachers have enjoyed using ZEP for escape rooms and quiz-based learning spaces. But we’ve also heard one recurring piece of feedback:

“Making and editing quiz maps takes too much time.”

Previously, you had to upload a CSV file and use an editor for even small changes. It wasn’t exactly seamless. That’s the reason why we started ZEP QUIZ - a simpler, dedicated quiz tool that lets you build and share interactive maps within just a few clicks.

Getting Started with ZEP QUIZ

🔑 Log in

Just log in with your Google account or email account.

You can either create a new quiz map or explore public quizzes created by other users and duplicate them to make your own version.

✏️ How to Create Your Quiz Map

There are two types of quiz modes, and each of them has 4 map templates:

• Sequential: Forest Quiz Room, Lava Zone, Classroom, Ocean Dolphin

• Freestyle: School Escape Room, Sky Island, Snowy Mountain, Ocean Treasure Hunt

Not only the contents of the quiz, but you can also customize additional settings:

• Allow incorrect answer: if you enable this option, players can proceed to the next question even if their answer is wrong.

• Private settings: public maps are shareable and editable by others

🎮 How to Share & Play

Once your map is ready, you’ll see:

• Copy – duplicates the map to your account

• Share – creates a QR code, code, and link

• Enter – instantly joins the quiz (as admin if you’re the creator)

Students (participants) can join the quiz map using just a link, QR code, or entry code — no installation required
